My Head is Spinning.

So, I've spent the last two hours embarking on the beginning of the long journey that is finding an internship. I'm largely focused on Chicago due to the fact that my dad now has an apartment there (WITH A SPARE BEDROOM) which means no extra rent cost, because lord knows subletting in Bloomington is practically impossible.

So far I've come up with a few in the area I'm interested in, including Blistex, MillerCoors, BMW, Solo Cup, United Airlines, and a few others. Drunken soft lips in luxury cars? Hey, they say follow your interests. I'm sure there are plenty more to be found, and many companies aren't even putting specific opportunities out there yet, so this is just preliminary research. I also may try to look into something retail related. I'd like the focus to be marketing/sales or something along those lines if at all possible. I can only hope I've got the economy on my side for this one, I mean, who DOESN'T want a free (unpaid) intern willingly throwing themselves at the company?

I guess backups, if Chicago doesn't work out, will probably be the Indianapolis/St. Louis areas. I'd like to think maybe I could commute to Indy. Though a full time job with a 40 minute drive tacked on both ways may not bode so well with my sleep schedule. We'll see.
