This week has been a whirlwind! And it doesn't help that after last weekend, my body seems to think a 4am to 2pm sleep schedule is appropriate. Somehow I've procrastinated on pretty much everything, yet still gotten everything accomplished. And to think, it's not even finals week yet! Next week should be a lot easier in comparison, only two finals and one final project. The final project will take a while, but I'm doing a digital scrapbook of sorts for my trip to India two summers ago, so that's long overdue anyways and I'm excited to work on it!!! Almost summer!
Little Five post will come this weekend, but for now I wanted to do an outfit post of the dress I wore to our Sundresses cookout. Finally gave in and bought a long dress... which I wasn't quite sure about on me, but I think I liked it... especially for such a casual setting. May have to take the straps in a little bit... ended up having to safety pin it to my bra so it wouldn't fall down too much accidentally! It worked best with wedges, because it's just a tad bit too long.
I also did the headband braid... that always seems to go so well with summery dresses, and works like a charm to keep those pesky bangs out of the way!
Not going to lie, walking around in my long flowing floral patterned dress sipping on Gin and Tonics kind of made me feel like Mrs. Roper from Three's Company. Ehhh!?
The dress looks really great on you and I love the braid.
ReplyDeleteOh man, messiness is the story of my life right now. i think it's been affecting my sleep! i can't stand it! Funny enough i brought home a jersey maxi dress the other day and tried it on and felt the same way! (the not-sure-this-is-me bit, not the mrs Roper!haha). You look great though, it's a pretty print, and looks great with your hair that way too! Hope your finals go well so that you can manage a trip to nyc this summer!
ReplyDeletehaha but you totally don't look like Mrs Roper!! LOL silly, love the dress, beautiful color on you.
ReplyDeleteOo, I need to try the headband braid now that my hair is finally long enough! Great dress - I love long dresses in the summer, they just feel so flowy and pretty!
